Energy Consumption: A New Perspective

by Gloria Gilbere N.D., D.A.Hom., Ph.D

Think about this. Every thought and action requires energy (message transmission), specifically from potassium and sodium. Our nervous system transmits signals through stimulation that is recorded via sensory input to our brain. This process, in return, sends the signal to our muscles (issues an order) to respond to respective stimuli. The element of salt is essential to our very existence, but only when it’s in the form of sodium from an organic state.

In order for minerals and electrolytes to be absorbed through our digestive system via the intestines, they must be in their organic state. In other words, once the minerals have been processed, it alters the molecular structure into an inorganic state – requiring more energy from the body to process. From a biophysical perspective, food is merely a carrier of information to the body, therefore, if we consume food and nutrients that are “dead” the communication signals are not transmitted. In other words, when the molecular structure of food is altered, its information/living energy is altered or destroyed.

Tracing the energy
Not even the blink of an eye can occur without the received stimuli from elements like potassium and sodium. The stimuli (message) is converted into thoughts and actions, here’s an example:

  • First, the thought (electromagnetic communication frequency)
  • Second, the impulse (electrical message transmission)
  • Third, the action as a result of a command to muscles & organs

The Currency of Energy
Upon arrival into a foreign country, you must convert your currency into local money in order to function within their economy. The same is true with food; you must first convert it into cellular currency (energy) in order for it to be functionally utilized. This conversion can only take place when we maintain optimal levels of nutrients, starting with minerals, which are the “spark plugs” that ignite our body functions into action.

Not on My Table!
We’ve all heard warnings regarding the detrimental health effects of excessive salt consumption (hypertension, edema etc.). That said, life is not possible without sodium, yet our consumption of salt is killing us. Our regular table salt is no longer the original crystal salt, it’s mainly sodium chloride and not salt. Natural salt consists of all natural elements, identical to those in our bodies. Table salt is “chemically cleaned”, removing all the essential minerals and trace elements. Sodium chloride is an un-natural, isolated, unwholesome substance that is an aggressive substance having nothing in common with salt. According to researcher Dr. Barbara Hendel, “sodium chloride is perpetually seeking an equalizing counterpart so that the body’s pH can remain neutral. The natural counterparts, potassium, calcium, magnesium and other minerals and trace elements, demonstrate, from a biophysical standpoint, specific frequency patterns. When these structures are missing, we are without energy and are lifeless.”

On the other hand, sodium in an organic state, such as that from a whole-food source or from homeopathic cell salts, are health-enhancing and have been proven to actually assist in lowering blood pressure, particularly because of its high natural Potassium content.

Energy Conservation and Energy Conversion
Sodium, not to be confused with table salt (NaCl), is stored in various places within the body, mainly in the:

  • Joints
  • Ligaments
  • Lymph fluid
  • Stomach walls
  • Small Intestine
The sodium content translates into a highly alkaline environment in the stomach, preventing excessive energy consumption within the digestive system. This alkalinity is imperative in order to withstand the hydrochloric acid normally produced in the stomach. If sodium were not present, the acid in these tissues would destroy stomach walls.

Natural Energy Sources
In addition to minerals providing energy and other vital functions necessary to our existence, research confirms that alkalizing the body results in improved Calcium and Phosphorous balance, increasing the rate of bone formation. Other findings reveal that there is, surprisingly, a proportionally greater amount of Sodium and Potassium in bone than Calcium (challenging theories that Calcium alone prevents bone loss). The significant levels of Potassium and Sodium found in whole-food sources and homeopathic cell salts have a superior effect on an acidic environment, helping to prevent and offset osteoporotic tendencies.

Conserve your biophysical energy through daily supplementation of minerals from either a whole-food source or from homeopathic cell salts – they provide support to prevent illness, return the body to homeostasis (balance), and ignite processes that maintain health, naturally.
